Default will there be any problem in my case

I am on H1B in US and applied for canadian PR in nov 2001, due to layoff fear I also started looking jobs in canada and US and I got an offer from a canadian company. They processed my work permit I got it stamp on my passport as well but at the last moment their project for which they hire me got scrap and they advice me not to come to canada.

I have submitted job offer letter with my documents to buffalo. But since I am still working in US.
Will there be any issue regarding processing of my PR application as I did not start work for my canadian employer.

The only problem you'll have is that you won't get points for arranged
employment.
