Default will i get problems at the airport? help needed please

HI all, im hoping somebody out there can help me out please, ive booked a one way flight to edmonton and received my confirmation and it stats i will need a visa to get into canada or i have to have a return ticket, ive spoken to the company sorting everything out in canada and they say all i need at the airport in england is my LMO documents and my contract of employment, they will be sorting out my visa on the canadian side, all i need to now is am i going to have a problem with this when i arrive at gatwick airport, my one way ticket was half the price of a return ticket

Hi not sure about Gatwick not sure what you mean. but all my husband needed was his LMO and Contract of Employment and the work permit was handled at immigration at the canadian side and a payment of $150. Also it can depend on the mood of the immigration consultant to how long they give you on the work permit as when my husband went he was given 6 months and other guys were given 1 year.

Didn't someone in a similar situation post about the problems they had with their airline a few days ago? I think they said the airline people eventually had to call CHC before they were let on the plane.

In march I booked 2 one way tickets and had no problems. We just sorted visa out once past first initial immigration desk. No one at any time asked us anything. Don't know if that was because we had gone through London first but the airlines didn't ask or query the one way ticket

Thanks for the replys fingers crossed it all goes smoothly ive spoken again to the company that will be meeting me on the canadian side and they told me not to worry and to turn up to gatwick with my LMO and contract of employment and there shouldnt be any problems
