Lots of people think the grass is always greener somewhere else. Sometimes it is - but sometimes it isn't.

I first fell for Canada (the people and the Country) way back in 95 and would have happily cashed in my return ticket and stayed if I could have and also if my wife would have.
The feeling of "being back home" every time I returned to Canada never has left me to the point that in 2004 my wife asked if I was going to get grayer and older and regret not having tried the move to Canada.
So here we are now trying to get everything cleared up, boxed up and sold up hoping to move in January (if the house sale goes OK).
If people were only leaving the UK to get away from something then they are leaving for the wrong reasons.
While there is much wrong (as well as very good) with the UK our real reason for heading to Canada is we want to do it and because it is a dream. We also have a picture of what we want when we get there.
And if you don't follow your dreams......
I think the mass exodus we hear about today consists of a lot of people chasing their dreams.

I know just what you mean; every Monday morning my 5 yearold boy asks "are we going to canada this week?"
Initially it was before his birthday - September, then we said before Santa comes; now it looks like it will be the New Year, poor child just cannot understand why we have to wait.

All I know is that we will realise our dream eventually, despite all the set backs.

Hubby has a couple of companys interested, but he wont leave me here with three young kids and his parents

He finishes work next month for the last time, taken the red/package that they have offered, that way one of the 0ther guys keep there jobs

now we just need a house sale and we have 2 of the 3 dreams
Number 3 will be for him to land the dream job
Should we start a section in wiki why we are leaving

Top 100 reason, may get a bit longer than 100 though
