As for Canada, for us it allows us to live a slower pace of life and get out more as a family. Hubby is a nurse, so he has a decent pay and we enjoy it.

Camping (well in a trailer!!!) in the summer......skiing in the winter.

Not another one.

Go stand in the corner.

You may have your snow in the mountains where it belongs not out here on the plains.

I can't deny this. We watch British 'sell my home' genre programs from time to time and ask ourselves did we really live in that. I'm not saying it's all bad and certainly having a massive home compared with what I could afford in UK and a beautiful view isn't all that bad

I moved from Nantwich, Cheshire. Looked again recently at house pricing there and property which was out of our price league a few years ago, and thanks to the steep rise in North Vancouver and the UK leading the decline in house pricing, I could now easily afford it.

It's certainly nice to know this, as historically the story must have been quite different. I don't miss much in England, but Nantwich was one of the best and most beautiful places to live, and probably where I would move back to if I decided to return to England at some point.

Why immgrating to Canada

People say it's about the 'lifestyle' but I think that's bollocks.

They just want to get rid of their over valued home in the UK and buy a place twice the size in Canada with two new cars and lots of toys to put in garage no.3 and still have money left over

I came hear for the great TV channels that they have, there is always something decent on to watch 24x7...

I would second that, very nice area with a touch of class close to nice countryside and quick escapes to the coast or mountains.

Yes, good call

Watch it..!!! Come on, it's gorgeous compared to say Hull, Bradford or...Blackpool! They really are shining examples of grim up north (in my opinion)

Nothing wrong with Hull pal, 3rd in the premiership! scalped Arsenal and spurs! in the last 7 days. I ve been to hudds plently of time there s nothing there! Hull s got a lot more to offer! 100s of millions have been spent in last 4 years on the city cente, it's on par with Leeds now for shopping night life plus it s got an abundance of affordable properties! Plus theres the north yorkshire coast line 10 mins away! The east riding of Yorkshire that surrounds Hull is one of the most popular places in th UK for migration of people looking to have a better quality of live.
