I was planning on going for 10 days to Canada to make my decision to make the move for good in a few month but flights seem to be more expensive than they are especially to Halifax.Prices i am being quoted are from £900 to £1500 to travel this month.I am looking on sky scanner so does anyone know where i could find cheaper ?

I may need to go back for a short time in May and just did a quick comparison on the sites mentioned for Toronto to Manchester, May 1st departure and May 7th return (2 seats)
Airtransat - $1629.16
Canadian Affair.ca - $1571.80
Cheapoair - $1645.36 (flying KLM via Amsterdam)
kayak.com - $1605 (Flying US Airways via Philly)
I normally use Kayak.com to find cheapest flights and it showed the Air Transat price as $1584.
Used to be quite a bit cheaper to book Canadian Affair through the UK but they were supposed to be putting a stop to that.

Air Transat - $1570
KLM - $1628
US Airways - $1634
So Kayak similar/better prices.

Canadian Affair don't start flying to Halifax until 22nd May this year. (It was end of March last year) My OH was planning on flying over in April but costs were so high he has postponed to May, he got a return for £498. We booked our one way flights in December for July and got family of 4 for £1900.00.

Book late.
Flights tomorrow are under 200 quid from Gatwick to Pearson on CanadianAffair

Not necessarily. The dates I was looking for had a total to Gatwick of $1891.56, $300 more than Manchester arrival. It would also mean I had to get from Hull to Gatwick on May 7th for 11:45am in the morning rather than Manchester for 13:15.

It seems to be a bit more awkward as i am flying to Halifax.Canadian affair dont fly until the summer.Even us airways are higher than normal.Maybe i should go and try Toronto or Vancouver instead.I only consider Nova Scotia as that is the only place i have lived in the past.
