the worst one is when you just get used to LOL meaning little old lady on ER ( tv show not an accronym) then find out it means laughing out loud or lots of love.

confused the heck out of me wondering why peeps were saying little old lady at each other all the time.

i use forums for TTC ( trying to conceive, blergh phrase for trying for a baby) and had to find out what LB&TOE meant ( lie back and think of england)

then on scrapbooking sites you have LO for layout, on parenting forums it means little one, ie child.

agree it is confusing if you are a newbie, but it is worth mastering a few of them, just watch yourself for the first time you refer to your husband as DH or OH to a non webby person, the look on their face is priceless.
