Why did you move?

9yr old is thrilled, to him it’s a big new adventure, the 6yr old flips, but that mostly around his lack of understanding of what is actually happening, what's moving what's staying
I don’t think either will miss their school, both are bored and the wife (an ex-teacher) is looking at what will be needed over the next few weeks to help them catch up with UK syllabus
Having said all the above, once the accelerated learning starts, they may hate the move

I hope it goes well for them! Their first challenge, understanding what the heck everyone is saying in Brummieland!!

Came here from Holland 5 years ago.
Got a job offer in Calgary, on a 2yr TWP. We weren't really looking to move to Canada, it just came up out the blue, and thought, why not?
Since we got PR, plan to stay in Canada for the time being, hope to get citizenship soon, that way we can leave and come back, if the opportunity arises. Currently planning a move to Nova Scotia.
It has been definitely worth the move, however Canada is another country on our list of places we've lived, as we spent a number of years moving around Europe.
