Why is it you can move to any EU country to live,work and receive healthcare and receive your index linked state pension even if you are a criminal or sponger but a country where the Queen is on the banknotes make you jump through so many hoops even when you can prove your are a law abiding hard working self sufficient individual?

Lets be honest though if English was the native tongue of Europe hands up how many would choose Europe over Canada?

You're right fuzz. Why is a colony of her majesty's empire creating the pretense it's a separate nation? Someone needs to reign these colonials in and remind them what's what. Let's face it Canada only exists for British people to move to as they wish and thus bring civilisation to a far flung barbarian wilderness!

It is a bit perverse, I agree. In fact, the whole notion of immigration is perverse. It should be either fully open or fully closed.

You'd think there would be a bit of an in house agreement going between UK, Canada, Oz, NZ with regards to inter country immigration though.

How abut a discount on points if you come from a country that has a common head of state.

The Queen maybe technically the head of state but in reality in Australia and Canada she's not. Canada, New Zealand and Australia are sort of i nthe logn process of arguing over the changeover squabbles for the next decade or soon before the throw the queen out.

The UK has no authority over such countries.
