Hi all
I have been off this forum for awhile but logged in occasionally to read the posts.
For those that might have had contact with me I applied through Bunac for a one year WHV earlier this year and was successfully given my letter of introduction. I have untill March 2012 to activate it.
I wish i had gone out to Toronto as planned, alot sooner but it was harder to get up and go with minimal savings so I have spent the most of this year working hard and getting some more experience in my IT career.
Okay to the point - what do i need to consider before i go or when i arrive?
I will going to Canada in January 2012 as a tourist, i will only activate my WHV once I have secured a job or I am approaching my deadline to activate it.
My questions are:
1) can i book a one way flight to TO in January?
2) do I need to have travel insurance from January or from March when I will activate my visa
3) any other things to be wary of and general advice appreciated.
I have searched some previous threads but i am unsure on questions (1) and (2) and i will eventually post again on options to extend my stay once i have read a bit more.
many thanks
Bobby

Hi
1. Yes, but don't forget, with the IEC visa, you have to show a return ticket.
2. One years worth from when you activate your visa.
