Default White Rock

Hi, can anyone tell me what its like living in White Rock?
Been to Vancouver a few times, really liked it, have family in Kelowna, but didnt get as far as White Rock. It looks really nice, but was wondering about work, high school etc.
What kind of skills demand is there? ie social/residential care, youth work, motorcycle mechanics, early years education?
What's the weather like compared to the rest of BC?
Any info would be good.
Thanks.

Driest climate in BC. Bedroom community for Vancouver or geriatric care. Nice place to love, job ops with mostly small businesses. Schools, same as everywhere else.

I assume you mean driest in the lower mainland, not the entire province. White Rock has close to 4x the annual precipitation than BC's southern central interior.

No industry as such, some retail and hospitality, services and healthcare (particularly geriatric). Many people commute.

high school etc.
Three excellent high schools.

See above. White Rock is primarily a small resort town, a retirement centre, and a dormitory town. It is becoming more of a retail centre.

Best (driest/sunniest) weather in the Lower Mainland.

I like it.

Your mum will tell you it's like England used to be when they were young.
