A white Christmas ?!
#1
The weather channel last night declared that 95% of Canada would be getting a white Christmas.
This was defined as having at least 2cm of snow.
The exceptions to this would be Victoria, Vancouver and Calgary.
D'oh!
Moved all this way, and - bloody hell - typical !!
Now - I know a lot of you have been well and truly inundated in recent weeks, but all I wanted was a lousy 2cm - not much to ask in anyone's book
So wishing most of you a happy and white Christmas ....

The Weather Networks website has so far predicted 4 days of rain up to and through Christmas, 4 days of snow, clear skies and both above and below freezing temperatures. So basically it will and or will not do something...maybe. I wish I had a job where I could change my forcast by the hour and not get fired when it is wrong.
Just checked now for Toronto and they have (atfer todays positive temp and rain) predicted snow overnight and through Christmas eve and then clear and 0C on Christmas with 20% chance of precipitation. So I guess it will technically be white if it does snow tomorrow and it stays through Tuesday. Better than last year anyway.

Crikey, weather network say we are going to be +11C tomorrow morning in New Glasgow. I guess all the white stuff and ice will disappear then.
Friends say that its been unusually cold so far (-18C last week) and it's been 7 years since there has been a white Christmas here.
Now, where did I put my flip flops and sunnies

We've got lots of snow (by Kelowna standards), and it's still coming down.....we've got everything crossed for a white Christmas.....which makes snow shovelling a bit of a challenge..

Our first Christmas here in Calgary it was +14 degrees! We almost decided to eat dinner on the deck! (couldn't be bothered carrying everything in and out though, and the table was too small!)
Last Christmas .... did it snow a bit just after?? can't really remember!
This year, at least we have a little snow lying, even if we don't get the fresh stuff!

Here in Edmonton we have plenty of the white stuff. About a foot on the ground. We were down in Calgary last weekend and couldn't believe the difference. At least you Calgarians only have to do a short jaunt to the Mountains to find the white Christmas.
Anyone know if Kananaskis has some, as we are heading that way soon.
