Default Where to Submit PR Application - Buffalo/London

Hi

We should complete our PR application pack within the next 4 weeks and will be ready to submit.

However, in March we have the opportunity to spend 6 months working in Toronto. Would we be able to submit our application to the Buffalo processing centre or would we have to send it to London (we will be registered at an address in Toronto). From the CIC site it does appear that Buffalo has slightly shorter processing times.

Thanks

M.

It is my understanding that you have to have been living legally for over a year in the jurisdiction of the office to which you wish to apply, so no, London is your office.

It's not living for a year, but *admitted* legally for at least a year.

If you're a citizen of the country in question you can always apply to that office (ie any British citizen can apply to CIC London, no matter where resident).

The "1 year rule" only applies to those seeking to apply as non-citizens of the jurisdiction in question.

Doesn't change the answer in this case.
