Question where is the snowbelt ?????????

Okay - aplogises to all if this is a dumb question!!!!!!! Where does the snowbelt fall in canada- do certain cities in Ontario escape it. I will sit quietly in the corner with my dunces hat on, whilst you clever children explain it to me. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

More a case of certain cities in Ontario getting more of it. Its to do with lake effect snow. In terms of ontario the main snowbelt is S/E of Georgian bay and the Barrie area. The Blue area near lake Huron on the map.
