Vancouver and especially Victoria are warm and quite dry during the summer. I have yet to see a summer in Victoria where the lawns weren't burned brown unless watered.

Thanks for that. Okanagan sounds terrible.
Probably should have mentioned, we need to be able to commute to either:
Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton or Kelowna (Sinead needs to work in a cancer centre and I'm hoping to work from an airport)
How long deos it take to get from Okanagan to Vancouver?
Thanks, Neil

Just to add that Kelowna has an international airport & also is the location for the Southern Interior Cancer Centre.

Kelowna may be called an international airport as it does have customs facilities there but you'd have difficulty getting a direct flight to anywhere other than a Canadian destination.

Yes, apparently Horizon Air flies direct Seattle/Kelowna.

True you won't be able to catch a flight to the UK.... but last time I checked, Mexico & the United States were international. *prepares all sorts of stick out tongues & rolling of eyes* *chuckles*

True. I think summers in Victoria can not be beat - warm, never stiffling hot, no humidy, no mosquitos, always cools off at night, no rain, etc... but the irritating hoards of ice cream cone fellating tourists, the wrist-slitingly depressing winters and the vacuous development of the place over the last 10 years is a dear price to pay.
