You see, one learns something new every day (w.r.t. transit). But to recap your points for the OP, One and Two Check. Three - not a mortal lock that work can easily be found, even in the private sector, four? Probably the fatal flaw in the plan!

Thank you very much all of you that have tried to help me. As I have my own business in EFL which I think I bring over as well as having some job interviews lined up already as I have a managerial ESL qualification, I hope to make enough money. However, I am well aware that we would not be able to afford to live in the city just as we couldn't in London.
JonBoyE remember what you told me about some people on posts? I guess you were right.
