Default WHERE/HOW TO DECLARE INADMISSIBILITY

Hello

I would be grateful for information on how to declare inadmissibility if I'm just visiting Canada for a few days on an EU passport [which means I don't need a visa]

I think I may have entered last year on holiday without doing this.

Thank you all

Thanks for your quick reply

We entered Canada on holiday last year [it's my husband]

Now looking into immigrating as PR or or on TWP

I have discovered that having a DUI means inadmissibility for those immigration categories [TWP/PR], but we have also visited Canada x2 and do not remeber any questions about criminal offence disclosure

Maybe because it was an EU passport- no visa and short 2 week holiday?

Will this be dug up and go against a 'for information only' rehabilitation application?

I was not aware of needing to disclose this information

Many thanks

I don't know the answer but if you post your question in the immigration section then someone there will probably know. Maybe a kind mod will move this for you

If applying for PR status then all arrests and convictions need to be disclosed and police certificates supplied.
TWP application form also asks about arrests, charges and convictions.
Failure to disclose is misrepresentation and could lead to PR status and TWP being cancelled if granted then later discovered.
If arriving as a tourist and not specifically asked about criminal convictions then one could say you are not telling lies as you were never asked.
Now we can argue that because you know you are inadmissible then you should disclose it but thats an ethical decision and I wont say you should or shouldnt disclose that fact.
If 5 yrs have elapsed since the sentence and it was completed in full ie fines paid, probation etc then eligible to apply for rehabilitation. If 10 yrs has passed and only that conviction then deemed rehabilitated.
It is not the policy of CBSA to ask every foreign national entering Canada about criminality only those who get referred to Immigration are normally asked that question and not in all cases.

We were tourists 2x last year
Me on a visitor visa my husband not
I was not asked on my visa application form and we both were not asked at the airport

I've only found out now on making enquiries about immigration

So how was your husband admitted, is he Canadian? What visa application form? If you were on an EU passport you don't need a visitors visa as you said previously.
