Hi - we're researching places to live in Canada and are considering BC, NS or Calgary.
Where is the best place to hide from the extended family that we are leaving behind so that we can get some peace with our own kids for a few years?!!
We still need the basics like schools for kids, food and water, but apart from that we are pretty free, easy and open to any constructive suggestions!
Thanks
FF

.
Or any town in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, NWT, Yukon. Surprisingly for some they all have schools food water and best of all for you vary degrees of inconvenience in getting to them.

Then find some odd town in the Kootenays, BC Rockies, Sunshine Coast, and hide away from the rest of the world, never mind relatives. They'll never find ya, then again, nor will the police if anything nasty happens, involving mobs of lantern-holding chanting six fingered locals and/or members of odd religious cults with mountain top HQ's staffed by sandalled beardy types who look like they need a good feed of pies and strong beer.
If in doubt just write and tell them you joined the Doukhobors and would they kindly send you half their earnings as a gift to your 'new family'.

And they floodlight the town on Oct 31st for their safety.Wow. Between that and the cost/inconvenience of getting there I reckon you'd be visitor-free :scared:
