Hi everyone, I am not really sure where to start to be honest, I feel like a bit of an intruder, let me tell you a bit about us. My husband, myself and our 2 children are just going through the process of 'fast tracking' to Nova Scotia, my hubby is a carpenter and is coming over to NS 2nd week of April for his job interviews and then fingers crossed we will relocate on his temp work permit, I feel like an intruder because we are not sure if we are going to get the go ahead yet or not and I feel a bit in limbo land!! I hope that makes sense.....
Anyway I don't want to bore you so I will shut up for now but if anyone else has been through this bit and knows how I am feeling please let me know because at the moment I feel so unsettled and unsure do I start to get excited at the prospect of moving or is it too early......

You will find out from alot of people who are/have doing/done this immigrations thing that you WILL go through a whole range of emotions - all been there done that and got the Tshirt so you are not alone.

Any worries or concerns/immigration matters just ask us on here and someone somewhere will have had a similar experience or asked the same question.

We all tend yo support everyone else with their quest to emigrate - so rest assured however silly you thinkn something is someone else will have had to deal with it..

Its going to be reassuring to hear other peoples comments, We have no family at all in UK we just have my sister and children who live in Australia so we have no-one here to bounce ideas and problems off, it looks like I have done the right thing joining this site.

Most posters are British, and most posters are expats or would-be expats or thinking about becoming expats or have been expats at some point in their lives. But some posters are none of the above. Just echoing what Gaynor said earlier - it's the cliched rollercoaster of emotions. We have just had our medicals and hope to move in the spring/summer to BC. If we can help in any way, feel free to ask.

We just sent back our updated info requested in 90 day letter. Any idea how long they take before requesting medicals? When we get med requests does this mean we are definitely in (subject to medicals)?
