my first posting really would like to work in canada but just dont know where to start. iam a registered general nurse have a six year old son and partner.
any advice please

first step is to figure out what's the best rout in for you i.e. work permit (can be quick but doesn't give you the right to stay forever), skilled worker (takes 4 years), provincial nominee (fastest - can be as little as 6 months).

There are quite a few other nurses on the forum (destinationnovascotia, poppy2 I think) so they should be able to tell you how to go about getting work. I think you need to take an exam in Canada. Quite a few nurses seem to be in the process of moving to nova scotia so nurses must be in demand here I guess.

Do some research and try to figure out whats the best way to get status that will allow you to work and where abouts you want to live. If you haven't been to Canada yet come for a holiday and visit some areas and decide if you like it
