Default Where to activate TWP - NS

Hi guys,
My friend has received a letter from Halifax PNP saying they will support her TWP application under skilled worker NSNP. She also has an envelope saying not to open and addressed to Canada Border control.

She is living in NS as a visitor. Where can she go to activate the TWP? Is there somewhere in Halifax, or can she go to Halifax airport, or does she have to go to New Brunswick border for eg.

Any help gratefully received, we just don't know what to do with it!

We had to drive down to St Stephen in NB and activate it - a lovely 10 hour round trip . They are super nice at this border though, which is a bonus!

Congrats to your friend.

Thanks for the info Amy,

I just have in the back of my mind somewhere that the rules changed in the last year or so, and people already living in NS could go somewhere in Halifax.

Not sure if that was just permanent residents though, rather than TWP's. Wish I could find that link!!

Definately PR's can activate in Halifax but I don't think TWPS can...let me have a dig about and see...

So Sasha spoke to Halifax immigration, it is NB she has to go to to activate her TWP. However, Frances told her she needs the letter they have sent her, plus another form that needs to be downloaded and completed.

She has no idea which "other" form she needs to fill in. The only one I can find is "applying for TWP from outside of Canada", which I suppose once she crosses the border technically she will be. Is this the form, or can anyone point me in the direction of the correct form?

Thanks again guys!

You do not need a form - they fill all the information directly onto their computers at St Stephen.
