I also wish I hadn't have bought my last horse who's soon to be re-named as Miss Money Pitt! GRRR
As a Canadian, I'm at a slight advantage of not having to go through any immigration process, so the timeline I've planned hopefully isn't at the hands of many external factors!!!
Good Luck and Keep your chin up!

My first reaction was "nothing!"
But after reading some of the other posts, I think I maybe wish we had sold the house earlier and had some time off. But we were always advised not to do stuff like selling up til you were sure you were going ...... and I suppose there was possibly a danger we'd have eaten into our capital too much before coming over, had we had it to spend!

For sure, I was speaking to South African couple who had moved to the UK and said the best thing they did was live like a tourist for a bit before moving, helps the fond memories but it also means that everyone you meet and says I've been to where your from you actually know all the stuff they did when they visisted your home town city.
In anticipation of the move we did a summer trip to Glencoe, had never been and its only a few hours away, was brilliant and I would be going back next year if it wasn't for our move to BC in Jan.

We don't want to be in Canada wishing we had been to all these places while we could but never bothered.

if anything what would u have done different in your immigration process/ move to Canada.
