When I first saw Canadian soil on my one-way flight, I was listening to 'The Dire Wolf' by the Tragically Hip, which was very apt. I was sobbing into my rum & coke.

I know it isn't fashionable but the song that pops into my head often these days is "Letter from America" by the Proclaimers :scared: Only 'cos it mentions Canada and Nova Scotia, you understand

Another one is "And a bang on the ear" by the Waterboys - "Crystal was a rover, from Canada she hailed...". For some reason it makes me think of HWP

If/when we ever get over, maybe REM "It's the end of the world as we know it (but I feel fine)"

Perhaps an apt one to listen to on landing would be 'Never Going Back Again' by Fleetwood Mac

No, don't cry into the booze! It only dilutes it.
