Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen anyone using a snowblower in an urban area. There may be a bylaw against them, there are laws banning leaf blowers, chain saws and lawn fertilizer and I suppose a snowblower would cause as much pollution as a leaf blower.

Any thoughts or experiences to share?
You can convert your dishwasher to clear snow

You just buy her a shovel!

Lol - I'm afraid that particular model has a tendency to stop working and hits back.

Are you assuming I live in an urban area? I live in a rural area where none of the above are banned.

I thought you must do as you mentioned having neighbours and knowing when they used their machines.

Neighbours are not exclusivley an urban thing - it's just that ours are further away! We still hear their chainsaws and snowblowers etc.......and I'm sure they hear ours, but we don't hassle each other about it

Just to close out this thread, I bought an Ariens 28" 11.5hp machine. $1700 incl three years free servicing. It certainly got a good outing yesterday and judging from the forecast will get used again over the next week. (Storm due tommorrow and another Monday they say.)

AX Between your photo and the few my Mom just sent me, I am having waves of panic about that weather.

That snow is great on holiday but every morning before work.....

Love the colour of your house BTW. That is one thing I do miss about St John's!

I could justify $1700 on a snow blower with that Cant justify anything but a warm hat and gloves in Ontario....

Press "Print Screen", open image editing software, select "File", "New", when you have your new document on screen select "Edit", "Paste" then edit to taste, "Save as".

Cheers
