What size shipping container?

I've got to book the shipping container, we are going for a self pack as is so much cheaper but what size do I go for.
We have a 3 bed victorian terrace and 2 young children (toys). Will a 20ft be ok or do I need bigger?

Hi there. We moved from a 3 bed semi. Four of us including two young kids. We brought everything apart from electricals and our sofas and we filled a 20' container. We had a company do it for us and they did say we had a lot of stuff but it all fitted (just about!).

We brought the two kids wardrobes - packed them out with other stuff. However, to be honest, it was a bit pointless bringing them as I've not seen a house out here yet that doesn't have fitted closets. Also brought over four chest of drawers and three bedside tables. All the beds - one king size, one single and one cabin bed were all dismantled (flat packed) to take up less room too, as was our dining room table. The only reason we didn't bring our sofas was as they were getting past it anyway - was only hanging on to them until we moved.

We were the same, and after a big clear out and not bringing big electrical items we got everything in a 20ft container, all depends how much you have though!

We have a 4 bed (all fit very easily into a 20ft container with plenty of room to spare - no wardrobes as we have fitted units. We used Robinsons - wasn't much difference in price between a DIY move and using a company once we had added it all up.
