Bring stereo equipment, as the converter works fine.
Don't bother with mattresses and beds, unless they are very new, as they are different sizes here.
Do bring decent pans! They are expensive here

My best advice is to ladies. Bring a lot if your favourite knickers!
There was nothing I was more worried about than being in a foreign country with no decent knickers.
I bought lots with me and have never regretted it.
