What the hell has happened to this forum over the past few weeks?
I've talked to people who are apprehensive over posting questions on here,afraid of the response they will get!
Seems to me that it's turning into an ego fest for some members.
Many legitimate questions go unanswered but plenty of arse licking and deferential treatment for people who obviously do not have much of a life with 10/20/30 posts a day!...Like most of us have time.
To those who do try to help,thanks your effort is appreciated.
This after all is a lifestyle and culture forum.

The forum could be the latest on the Troll hitlist.

Three other (Non-related) sites I subscribe to have been hit recently. It starts with normal posts, then progresses from slightly negative to rants full of vehemence.

I know it's hard to ignore, but it's the only way to defeat them.

What is the "Troll hitlist" about?

It's not an actual 'Hitlist' as in an organised hit.

I am a member and moderator of some drumming sites on the net. (Drum teacher is another string to the bow)
Every so often, there is an influx of new members, who, initially tow the line but over a few weeks start to post negative posts to elicit arguements and ill-feeling amongst the longer standing members. (I know I haven't been here long)
Some Trolls even register under 2 or 3 assumed names and have online arguements with themselves to drag others in.
The end result is to cause chaos and so much negative feeling that members actually leave. Gives them some sort of second hand power.

Very sad really.
