Yes, of course I have thought "its me" I think feeling that is only natural but as Chunkymonkey said earlier and I can attest to this I have never really had a problem in the past. I think perhaps it may be that my OH and I are the only ones living in Canada, all our family and friends are back in England. Perhaps when you have children they help people to integrate more and of course if you have any family members close by then you dont feel as isolated. Just a thought.

Thanks for the idea of newcomers club, yes, I did try it, as I recall the age group of the Victoria one back then was at least 60-65 but I did meet one lady who I still see from time to time. The thing is though, after 11years you are definately NOT considered a newcomer anymore.

Are you a corrie fan? There is a corrie fan club
in Victoria and they meet monthly. There are clubs all
over Canada. I have a few friends who are corrie fans
and we could sit and chat for ages , people thought
that we were talking about our friends and families.
It is ok to have that nostalgic feeling for British way
of life.Go for it if you want to go to NS and have a blast.

I wonder if you can find someone in NS who could swap homes with you for a time period?

So maybe you are just in the wrong place for your personality.

This is something i have thought about and would definately be open to house swapping. So, if anyone knows of anyone in NS who wants to have a holiday in Victoria BC then tell them to get in touch. We are flexible on times and dates etc....
