True...as someone said on another thread, one winter is different to another.

Snow clearance was a doddle in our first winter. We had a few minus 20 days but not many.

In the second one we had a fortnight when it was never above minus 30 and the ground frost was such that our doorstep lifted and we couldn't open and close the door properly. But there was also a week of double digit plus temps. Imagine judging winter conditions in that week.

The third one was when we had three snowfalls bigger than anything before in less than a week. We couldn't shovel snow and lift it to the side because the snow to the side was already shoulder high. We had to get a tractor/snowblower to deal with it.
