We used Pickfords - were not the cheapest or the most expensive, everything went smoothly, no damage.

Daft question, but is there anything food wise that we cant ship over. We know we cant do meats etc..
But we were thinking of buying bulk supplies of H.P. sauce, bisto granules, tetley t-bags and shipping them over with our furniture.
and yes before anyone criticises and says we should embrace Canadian culture, we will but would be nice to have these things occasionally!!!!!!!!!!!!
cheers
Kelly

Heinz (UK) baked beans however are in the region of $1 to $2 per tin and so would be cost effective if shipped over..
English chocolate is also very expensive here and would warrent shipping in
(at least enough to cover of those moments of home sickness)
I've used Pickfords to Canada, and Allied from Canada without any issues.

Hey Y'all
What about Vimto? I've never seen that in the couple of times I've been over.
Anybody know?

Meats, fruits are certainly banned.
Tins and other hermetically sealed products are OK. Wouldn't flash them about at customs in Canada, keep them well packed in your suitcase and only tell if asked.
That's what i've done all the times i've entered canada.
HP sauce, bisto, tetley all available (Tetley Orange Pekoe is the equivalent, i think.) Tea is dirt cheap in the UK however and i would bring a 320 box with you.
Mars chocolate (Twix, etc) all available, but are made to the North American recipe with less veg fat and more coco, giving a totally different taste to the UK ones. Cadbury main line stuff available (and generally tastes the same), but things like Time out, flake, etc. not generally available. There are specialist stores over here that may stock those.
Weetabix is widely available as it is made in Canada, supplied in 12/24 boxes, in the old-fashioned PAPER wrapping !!! ;-)
