I have no idea how much better it is than duct tape - never used it- hockey tape however has many uses. We dont take duct tape camping and it has never been useful in crafts - hockey tape is therefore more versatile!

Have to confess I use duct tape for everything (except sealing ducts, which it sucks at), and I havent even begun to explore the new clear duct tape yet!

Clear duct tape??
I don't like the sticky residue duct tape leaves. There's two sorts of hockey tape - clear and fabric. The clear one is designed for taping pads on, so it doesn't leave a mess. It's also nearly waterproof and slightly stretchy - great for kids crafts.
Ever wondered how to secure sliding windows - the answer is a cut down hockey stick jammed between the window and frame - one of the many uses for the piles of hockey junk you collect over the years.

I think it's important to get the important things first!
I'm also buying a water treatment system which is costing between $5,000 and $13,000. If anyone have any advice on treatment systems please drop me a line, I want to make sure we're buying the right one.

Our system is different to yours, but we have particulate filter, charcoal filter (helps with iron), softener and UV. I Dont have to worry about the crap coming in from a lake though.

A well, septic tank and field!
Ride-on lawnmower
Snow blower
Truck (on the shopping list!)
3 acres and a triple garage - could never have afforded this in the UK!
A developed basement.
Come to think of it - a basement!
Bottles of DEET!
A "cell" phone.

School supplies!
Our school just charges a fee to cover supplies so all children have the same. Why do other schools send out a list of supplies to be purchased - you would think they could get good prices by bulk buying!
