Hockey tape - some in each childs bedroom, one roll on top of the fridge/freezer, 6 rolls in the spare room, one roll in the box of camping gear - all in various states of partial use!
To be fair it is very useful. We once used it for a school project - we dont own a glue gun and we broke the stapler just before starting. Did you know you can laminate with hockey tape?

I was going to put 6 rolls of duct tape on my list, but I figure I would have discovered it in the UK eventually
