Hi there. When I do get around to flying out there what process do I do at airport here in UK. Do I explain I am immergrating to person behind desk. Also will I need to show the Confirmation of Landing form I got given when I got my VISA. I am worried that I will forget somekind of form I need to take with me to airport. Also when I land I pressume I only need The Confirmation Landing Forms and VISA. Also I am not having anything come after me so do I need goods to follow list. I may have a couple of boxes sent in future like 1years time. Any advice on all this would be great thanks.

Hmmm, have not been thru it myself yet, but i think you should not need anything here in the UK at check in. So long as you have a valid passport thats fine, as you dont need any more than that to get into Canada usually.
Re the goods to follow list, i would say fill in theform just in case with the items you might have shipped out in the future, because it only takes 10 minutes, and then you have it covered and will not need to pay import duty on them in the future if you do choose to bring them in, so why not?
When you land in Canada, I think you might have to show proof of funds also? Basically to prove that what you said on your original application was true, and that you can support yourself for the first few weeks.
Hope that helps

What if the boxes I pack I dont end up getting shipped out there? I am just really packing any stuff I am not sure what I want to do with and just leave it here. I might get it sent there in a years time or so or might even just leave them here to be sold. If I turn up there without a goods to follw list do you get any problems.
Oh and yes I goto make sure I get some kind of print out from bank to show my fundings.
Are there any other forms I need to fill in do you know?

You need a valid passport, your PR visa, your Confirmation of Permanent Residence form, and proof of funds.
You do not have to have a Goods to Follow form. There will be no problem if you don't have a Goods to Follow form.
But, if you do have a Goods to Follow form, you can take as long as you like to import into Canada the items that are listed on the form. There is no time limit on bringing the listed goods into Canada.
It's also okay if you never bring the listed goods to Canada.
But, as Robski said, having a Good to Follow form gives you the option of importing the goods free of duty and taxes if you should ever want to do so. Also, as Robski said, it would take only a short while to complete the form.
So I don't think you have anything to lose by completing a Goods to Follow form. The BE Wiki has an article on Goods to Follow, including a link to fillable versions of the forms.

I will see when I pack alot of my things and if I have much stuff I want to take at some stage I will fill out goods to follow list. Ideally will probably try to sell most of my things before I go on something like ebay or to people I know. Thanks for info guys. I am sure will have many more questions before I finally fly out.
My next thing is to book flights. Not booking right now as not certian when I am going. I plan to go in end of June so hopefully there will be good deals still aviable nearer time. Right now seen loads of good deals for June via air transit.

well although I am going to go in 12 days time to pick up my SOWP when I visit Phil I am not going to take a Goods to Follow as I will do that when I go for good in August.
Any comments ?

If that is how Canadian customs authorities view things, it would be better to arrive with your Goods to Follow form when you land in 12 days.
Maybe it would be prudent to ask about this on the Immigration forum.
Alternatively, you or Phil might call the Border Information Service.
Phil can call them toll free at 1-800-461-9999. If he calls between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time, Monday to Friday, he can speak to an agent by pressing "0" when he hears the pre-recorded information.
You can call 506-636-5064 or 204-983-3500. You too can speak to an agent by pressing "0" if you call from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. local time, M - F. The 506 number is in New Brunswick, which is on Atlantic Daylight Time (4 hours behind you). The 204 number is in Manitoba, which is on Central Daylight Time (6 hours behind you). But long distance charges would apply to your call.
