All excitement here in the Davidson household as we sold (for less than we would have liked) yesterday. Just spoken with the estate agent and our buyers are having their survey done tomorrow and want to be in by mid October so we are going to be busy bees from now on. Really can't believe it is happening now, had almost given up hope of ever finding a buyer, next hurdle this week is seeing if hubby's application for voluntary redundancy is accepted - will help make up the shortfall in sale of house and go towards shipping costs. Now have to make a decision as to which co to use, had a few estimates when put house up for sale at Easter - think I'll sit down with a drink to help me decide.
So many different things to consider but now have to start looking for schools - 2 children, boy of almost 12 and girl of 15- can anyone recommend/know of good senior schools in Richmond Hill area of Toronto, feel guilty pulling daughter out part way through GCSE's, she is at a good grammar school here, gave her the option to stay behind with grandparents but wants to come with us (glad really as didn't want to leave her behind).
Good luck to those still trying to sell their house.

Congratulations! Feels great doesn't it?
I've spent most of this morning hunting around for shipping quotes as we're only taking boxes of stuff - the people buying our house wanted the furniture too!

Congratulations, it must be a great feeling. I've got a viewer coming for a 2nd viewing tomorrow so fingers crossed.
We've also been having quotes as not taking a lot of stuff, (ie not a house full).
Quote from Whites is just over £2000, just waiting for Crown to get back to us. We've got 18days to go.....final countdown.
