Anyone using webcams as part of thier research??
I remember watching the snow melt at Toronto airport when I was still in the UK - it was spring in the UK, but there was still snow in Toronto - I remember being a little surprised :scared:

I have, this is a great and easy way to get an impression of the city you want to live in... well weather-wise it is. Most webcams look at interesting points-of-view, which may should show the city in an attractive light!... however, as with most big cities you can checkout the traffic too!
Anyway, for Montreal check out:

hope this helps

I've been watching the Montreal cams for years. They aren't a patch on what they used to be. I think that they used to have about 8 all together, and you could watch the snow storms in Winter.

I've checked out the Montreal Webcams every now and then since early 2000 and I've always puzzled over siting a webcam at the Biodome looking at a bunch of penguins!
My favourite is the one on the corner of Peel and St. Catherine in downtown Montreal. On view is the HMV store on the corner and it's generally just a busy interesting view.

This will be one of the most useful web cams for those coming to south west Ontario

Welcome to the 401 your nightmare traffic in Toronto...
if you intend to use the 400series as a commuter route then a look at this may assist you with choosing your residence in reference to your workplace….
A personal notethe worst section of the 401 is between the 427 and 400…

Here is one I have always used for Ontario:
http://www.2ontario.com/webcam/home.asp
It has a collection of webcams from all over Ontario including the traffice cameras and a few live motion ones too.
In fact, as I work in a basement level with no windows, I still use the Toronto cameras to see what the weather is like outside, hehe.
