Re: we got our PR cards today.....
congrats on your progression towards stress free citizenry.
it seems that you are a few steps ahead of us.... as we are still languishing in the UK; fearful of quitting a paying life here to go out there.
was / is your period of unemployment as stressful as we think it might be? is there light at the end of the 'vancouver hiring freeze' tunnel?
personally, i could happily risk a leap into a life where only a coffee and a sticky bun offers consolation, whilst hoping to secure that most promising of interviews.... my better half however, is still enjoying the feeling of financial income and is less enthused by the idea of willingly becoming jobless, even if in Vancouver!
are we going about this in a wrong and overly cautious way?
congrats once again!

It's 1095 days, at least, for citizenship. Unless you have time as a temporary resident which counts as 50%.
