Wow it finally arrived!!!! I don't post here much, but this forum and the people on it have been a whole lot of help just to read. I have a feeling that this might be where all the questions start though!
I got home from work on Friday (11th) to find a now familier looking brown envelope in our post box! Wondering what it could be... it's our passport request!
That morning I had only just managed to get through to the Dr that did our medicals to check that everything was ok and had been sent off. We weren't expecting to hear anyhting for a while longer yet.
After more than 2 years everything suddenly seems very fast and very real!!

Many congratulations, great feeling isn't it!
Hope you enjoyed your celebrations.
Things will definitely start to move a bit faster now and you better believe it's real.
Good luck with everything.

Congratulations, its a great feeling isn't it.
We had ours last week and still can't quite believe how fast they turned the medicals around.
Things will start to fly now, hold onto the seat of your pants

Thank you all for your kind comments - I hope you don't get too tired with future questions
Congratulations to you too Justin and I echo your sentiments about this site.
I just have a feeling that this is where all the really hard work starts. After 2 years of nothing, but waiting in silence this last few months have moved in a blur. We were expecting each stage to have another large gap of waiting and had mentally prepared ourselves for this. But we got our medical requests before we had even managed to send the update information back! We thought it would be a month after the update deadline date at least, that make it almost 2 month early! The PPR was very quick too, I'm not sure when the medicals went in (as they had to wait about a week for the X-rays from the hospital) but it was less then a month from taking the medicals to getting the PPR!
This is after our update letter went astray for a few months as they had not recived all the change of address that we sent in over a year previously! That was scary, only due to this site did we realise that we probably should have recieved something!! as other people with AOR similar and later than ours were getting update requests.
I must say that when we have had to contact CHC about any problems they have been very fast and helpful in sorting out the problem - we had new update request within a few days and when the form for my Wife's medical had some incorrect info on it, we had a new one really quickly.
Thank you all again
