Which way to go??
Hi All
I know this has probably been posted several times before but i've looked and can't find my answer.
I am just about to start my 3rd and final year of nursing and my hubby is a truck driver.
The question is what type of visa etc do we go for? Would you say temporary work permit? Or something else, all this visa stuff is so confusing, any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hiya,
Which province are you looking at?
Have you checked the requirements to work as a Nurse in your chosen province? Also, this thread has some info on being a nurse in Canada http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...ighlight=nurse
What kind of Truck Driving? Long Haul or Short?
There are loads of different Visa's, the ones that spring to mind are the Skilled Worker but you need to check that you have the relevant experience and points and also funds www.cic.gc.ca
Depending on the province the PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) could also be an option, this also depends on whether your OH is long haul or short haul.

Thanks for replying Linz.
My hubby is long haul truck driver, would prefer if he could get a driving job that didn't take him away for 14 days at a time. Don't think that would make settling in to a new country easy wilth him being away so long. Will look at the links you put on, once again thanks.
