pleased to know that what you have is that good

Just got off the phone as well as live chat with Bell including searching which fibre quality service is available in my street & all that they have for me is 25Mbps download tops 100GB usage. So, given that speed & on a bundled home phone with internet (no service charges or modem cost and after applying the discount codes ) it came to $71.90/mth for 12 months + tax. I could add unlimited internet for an extra $30/mth .

Now Its 'work in progress'

For now for Brit TV its...linked below

see how the following works with your Bell high speed fibre?

and then there is TV from all over the place

after 30 minutes negotiating the best they could do for the max download speed of 25mbps 100GB on a bundled package.

For another $30/mth it would be unlimited

its all about the speed of Bell service available in your area, then after that its usage. My be check on line again what is available for your address, cos I checked my father in law address who lives south of hwy 2 east off Harwood & its really slow fibre service in his street

I'd be curious again if you double check both speed & GB/mth for that $49.95 amount you quoted that after 3 months doesn't go higher price

We have had this set up for just under a year.

The way I did it was to call retentions, I ask to cancel as we had got a better deal with Rogers. They said the Rogers deal is a short term deal, I said I liked it anyhow and want it, why should I stay with Bell? They said "because we give u same but long term" and 20$ off.

Lol I go for that!

Then I ask, why u not call me and offer me these rates? They do do but it's hard to contact everyone, Yeh what ever we thought !!

I don't like the idea of other folks computers going though my computer to access the internet. My kids did that with limewire and it cost us $50 in over charges.

magnumpi @ post 22 you bugger - you had me all wound up ready to give the Bell reps a bllocking.

Here you are with 25mbps speed & god knows what usage limit.

As I posted up thread we are limited by the bandwidth as only 100GB for a combo bundle home phone & internet for $71.90/mth for 12 months. Add $30 for unlimited comes to $102 minus the regular home phone charge of ~$36 (tax in) I'm paying now - gets us unlimited Bell internet for $66 +tax .... so not too far of the mark.

I was starting to tell the Bell rep my mate in Ajax had unlimited usage + top high speed for $40/mth - then stopped ....ending the call saying I'd think about it.

Again work in progress, but after the last two days (help & input from posters) along with my other thread, I think I've sorted two phones, internet + TV for around the $110 +tax.

http://www.bell.ca/Bell_Internet/Internet_access

All these bloody numbers are so confusing for an old guy like me

Appreciate the help ...

Magnumpi, I'll be checking back with you on the 'Android smart TV box in the next 30 days to see how it all faired & if you dropped Rogers cable + home phone

We use ProxyPlayer with a VPN but they have some other services.
Generally though, there are a few of the services out there whether it's for phones, smart tvs, laptops etc. Plenty of choice.

Glad u made progress N2o. Looks like u got a decent deal now, just from reading and calling, easy ehh!!

Money is always better remaining in your pocket.

That $69 above is $49 after we take off the 20$ discount, I also pay $25 on top for home fone but that's going end of month.

just checked Primus website - with a bundled home phone + unlimited internet 25mbps speed (no contract) $66.95/mth tax extra

if I go with your smart box, the Primus bundle $66.95 + the $19.95 basic Public mobile phone .... what a deal

excluding any up front equipment cost

$67 + $20 = $87 + tax
