Just wanted to let you guys know that if you want to watch British TV, then you might want to check out this bit of software: http://www.expatshield.com/. It is free and works very well. Essentially it assigns a UK IP address to your PC so that websites, like the BBC iPlayer, think that you are based in the UK.
so far I have tried it for a week with no problems at all. Windows only.

p.s. This is not an advert and I am not trying to sell anything. In fact I am not associated with this software in any way. I have lived in Canada for six years and not being able to watch iPlayer or listen to football commentary from Radio 5 Live has always been an annoyance.
