A warning for work permit holders

If your company has an American parent, rememebr that they are a!@#holes. Mine announced the closure of the Calgary office this morning. Even more annoying was that with their eventual help I submitted the Federal part of a PNP application a few weeks ago. This is now invalid and I have to start again. Even more of a bummer because the application fees were paid by me.
Oh well, 23 months of work permit left to find another job

Sorry to hear that Posidrive
How frustrating for you. I hope you get another job soon (with a better employer).

Good luck finding a new job. Can you transfer the WP to another employer?

They've since offered us a relocation package to move to Boston, but personally I'd rather gnaw my own "bits" off that move my family to the US.

).Also, as a chemical engineer in the current economic climate I would much rather search for a job in Calgary thatn in Boston when the "dirty deed" is inevitably done again

There would be a lot less to read.
