WARNING-UPS SCAMMING EMAILS
#1
a warning as I almost fell for this as we have recently sent important documents to CHC.........i already knew that they had been sent via a different courier and i knew that they had been signed for BUT
I had an email titled 'UPS: Your Tracking # 216627445803''. The text read:
Sorry, we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on November the 25th in time because the recipient’s address is not correct.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
If you do not receive package in ten days you will have to pay 36$ per day.
Your UPS Support Team.
It had a 'zop' file attachement. I almost opened it but then got suspicious so googled it and sure enougth, there are UPS scam emails that contain a nasty virus.
be warned.......

the.....'You will be charged if you do not pick up within ten days' would have highlighted the scam to me. You, as the receivee would not get charged, the package would simply be returned to the sender as it is they that have bought the services from UPS.

UPS is a scam anyway, so why should an email from them be any different?
