Default Warburtons Bread

One thing that I love when I visit family in Manchester and would love to have more readily available here in Canada is of all things. . . BREAD! The soft touch and taste of a loaf of WARBURTONS is miles better than anything on the shelves here. Has anybody found anything similar?

Whilst I agree the bread in Canada can be naff & expensive, I don't think I would be yearning for any Warburtons product.

Whatever sails your boat of course.

Nope

Even if you can find the right texture here, it'll still probably be too sweet. Italiano is the nearest we've found and it's still not that great. Maybe get hold of a British recipe, get the ingredients from a British shop and try making your own?

Supermarket bread is awful, so we now go to the bakers.

If you have a Cobs Bread near you, I highly recommend.

Yes, if you like 1970s bread. All the bread is crap over here, you get nothing nice. Get a bread making machine and make your own.

We have a bread making machine and hardly ever buy bread from a shop, best thing we bought

Must admit my sister did bring me over some Scottish Plain bread. It was so nice to have a real chip piece.

Is Warburton's bread somehow notable?

Of course I've never heard of it, but it has a brand name, ergo to be bought in supermarkets, therefore crappy.

They do a Wonderloaf here.

I cannot find specialty breads in the UK like I could in Canada. I used to do a beautiful spinach dip in pumpernickel Bread when i lived in canada. No such thing over here, tried everything even ...the "posh" shops!
