Visa/permit advice for remote working
Hi,
Any advice as to (a) what I need to apply for, visa/permit-wise and (b) what the tax implications are for my situation, would be very much appreciated. My situation is as follows:

I realize this is not an answer to any of your questions but are you going to Toronto? I ask because one of my daughters took up with a surgeon who was here for a year (later extended to two) as part of a clinical fellowship training programme. It would amuse me if it were the same position.

2. Although it is really moot question, as the spouse of foreign worker in NOC O, A or B, you could get an open spousal work permit on entry to Canada. |

Thanks for your help - am I correct in thinking that I therefore only need to apply for a visitor's visa?

Yes, except for some obscure cases, a tax treaty applies and one ultimately pays in one country or the other. A return has to be filed in the other country including taxes paid as a deduction. |
