Both very widely accepted.
I don't think I have seen a place that accepts one but not the other. Except, of course, for Olympic events. Visa sponsor the Olympics and it is the only card you can use to buy tickets.

Isn't that the special swipe version of the Mastercard Paypass for small payments though, not just a regular Mastercard?

Thanks
I was just trying to work out, which one to keep for emergencies just for the time being.
So it appears that both are accepted so I won't have a problem. I thought some places just take one or the other? Do all places take both?

What she means is her Coffee and donut fix at Tim Hortons (In our family it is my kids donut fix that gets paid for! I can't eat them due to a dairy allergy - *sob*)..... I always pay by debit card there so not encountered any probs...
And I have a Visa card cos that is what RBC offered me along with my bank account.

I'm convinced they add coke or something to the timmies - I NEVER drank coffee before I came here and now I find myself having timmies cravings!!!
