Question Visa extension in GB

Hello everyone,

Can anybody suggest how one should go about extending a visa in the Uk if one is in the final stages of his PR application for Canada. Mine is student visa as opposed to work permit.
Is it ok to show proof of the final stages of PR application like medicals etc...
If not then is it possible to reenter Uk as a visitor solely for visa stamping purposes. Would it be an acceptable reason for visitors visa.

I have submitted medicals following interview and kind of expect the visa to be issued in March or so next year, maybe earlier. My current visa for Uk runs out in Jan... I suppose it would be wise to stay a bit just so that i could be present to submit any requirements the embassy could have.

has anybody faced or come across such situation, if so can you please comment. thanks in advance

they won't extend yoru visa just because of the Canadian Immigration issue, thats got nothing to do with UK immigration.

You would have to apply to stay on as a visitor and have good reason and present yourself as a genuine visitor.

You could try leaving nd re-entering if you can enter the UK without a visa you may be ok doing that, if you have to apply for a visitor visa then you need a better reason than waiting for Canadian Immigration.
