Vancouver Vacation Essentials ???

Hey folks, what can you recommend ? We are there for just 2 nights, 1 full day, mobile with wheels. Staying downtown.
Grouse Mountain
The Harbour/English Bay
Harbour Centre Tower
Vancouver Jazz Festival (third week of June)
Gastown (avoiding the panhandlers where possible)
===>>> can anyone recommend any other must-do's or highlights ?
Cheers for any input, advice and ideas,
Rich

check out this fun little site (it is aimed at kids days out - but will give you an idea of the variety of things to do...
www.findfamilyfun.com
Would like to add to your list - Granville Island, and check out the micro brewery there
and take an aquabus from there for only about $2.50Oh, and on your way back from Grouse Mtn you could try the Capilano suspension bridge - a complete tourist trap but by June the skywalk should be complete (so you can walk on a path partway up those fantastically tall trees!)

Hi Clare -
The Capilano looks like great fun, I think that will be a must-do for us, also the aquabus, for that price it's another must-do.
Have been told by someone who came back from Vancouver last week that Grouse Mountain is a certain, I think that will also be on the agenda.
Just found out that Vancouver Jazzfest doesn't start til the 25th June << ;-( >>, so we will miss that out, unfortunately. I am just looking for some jazz scene info on www.vancouverjazz.com, trying to find a 'safe' jazz club or bar to chill out in. Will browse the website you mentioned later also, looks very informative and their list of events is very comprehensive, though nothing for June appearing just yet -will check back with them soon,
Thanks v.v.much for the info.
Rich.

Granville Island as suggested is awesome. English Bay is awesome. Also Stanley Park is excellent as well.
Jazz Festival is cool but is way crowded at that time.
There's a little restuarant on cornier of main street (forget the name of street) and the one that takes you down to Granville Island. Its got Chocolate in the name and sells all sorts of chocolate things--mousee thats incredible and the little coffees with chocolate stuff and whatever booze you want in them. Would definately recommend that and the fish-market in Granville Island. Also where you get off the ferrie at Grqanville has a little market there that sells awesome seafood and great sausage rolls.
Sorry, can't remember names of restuarant at momment. Over tired here. If I think of it will post name.
Hope you have fun.
