I don't think you should leave on account of one poster. We all have poster's we don't get along with and many many more people will be sorry to see you go. Have a rethink dude! Where we will get our Squamish updates from?!

Re: Vancouver 'mind-numbingly boring?
I have a friend and neighbour who is in the final stage of MS. He contracted the condition some 30 years ago and will likely be dead within 18-24 months. He still has movement in one finger which fortunately allows him to drive his wheelchair, but not outside. His speech is rapidly deteriorating and will be undecipherable very soon.
Never, even once, in the many years I have known him have I ever heard him say "why me".
Every day he is cheerful, happy and smiling. He has a hole at his coccyx you can stick your fist through. Fortunately no pain because he has few nerve endings left but his brain is still very active.
I need to ask if there is anything at all in your life that is good. I understand that you have a mental condition but constantly complaining about virtually everything in your life achieves very little, IMO.

I for one enjoy your perspective and you are a poster who keeps the place ticking over.

Sorry, but you can't expect us to take any action if you don't tell us about it!
And of course, you could simply use the ignore feature, as this is exactly the kind of thing it's there for. There's no point leaving the forum just because of one poster, there are plenty of other people (myself included) who like your posts, so just block the one that bothers you and/or report it to us and we'll take a look.

Fun fact. I currently live in Burnaby but will be moving in with my boyfriend in Surrey next month. There was a murder on the corner of my street last month. Then this past weekend, a shooting just outside my bf's place (we heard the shots). I would say crime is following me, but that's what I get for moving to Surrey.

Come in late to this post so only just read it. please don't stop posting on account of one antagonistic individual. You bring a valuable and often different but insightful perspective to many of the topics on here. Your experience of Canada is one that I suspect few of us really have had to live ourselves. Just hit the ignore button and let the rest of us continue to enjoy your contribution.
