I really enjoyed the museum of anthropology full of indigenous native American carvings..totems etc. I think its out by the university, no problem with a car. Its an unique collection
..guessing by its location near the Uni, I expect you could score Indian (to eat)..but maybe dim sum would be more appropriate in China Town?
Rest of Vancouver was surprisingly unremarkable and made me wonder why it gets best city to live in consistently. Enjoy!

Of course, realize that English Indian curry only exists in England.
But Palki will probably be tasty in its own way.For something different, East is East is lovely: http://www.eastiseast.ca/
For something higher end, Maurya: http://www.mauryaindiancuisine.com/

When I went nothing was locked so we just went through the rooms adjacent to the main gallery and started pulling drawers open in all those wood cabinets. Spectacles, Japanese, 1743. And so on, totally random. The Bill Reid stuff fills in a little time. In Vancouver Airport in the international lounge take a minute to look at the big wooden sculpture in the concourse. That's on our money and there more at the museum. The thing that I remember best is the bentwood boxes - they'd take a huge cedar shake and soak it until they could fold 5 sides then sew the edge with bark so they had these great boxes with no hardware at all.

. It's the Creation of the World one under the skylight at the museum that's wood. In that case he'd be famous indeed, bronze sculpture being a European art form. His paintings and jewellery aren't as well known as the carving, sculptures and prints. Some artists are Da Vinci and famous for all media but it's rare.

That's birds for you innit?

Actually Kormas can be bloody nice if they're done right, but they rarely are at English influenced Indian restaurants.
Check this Korma out.

As well as buses, a short walk east along Marine Drive will take you to the Sky Train station at Marine and Cambie. This will take you downtown. From downtown the park is 10/15 minutes walk (Burrard is the nearest station), or you can get the No. 19 bus down West Pender to the Park bus loop.
If you want to rent some bikes there are a couple of bike rental places at the north end of Denman.
