Utilities and service providers...
#1
So, I am setting up my utilities and service providers for my new apartment and I have a choice between:
- Basic cable or full cable (I am not that fussed, but can anyone tell me which channels I might get UK Premiership football on?!).
- Shaw or Telus for Internet
- Telus (or anyone else) for phone
Anyone got any advice? Please keep it relatively positive!! Some of the negativity on here makes me want to gouge out my eyeballs. I have just been dealing with NPower, NTL and BT here in the UK who all seem to pride themselves on employing brainless people who are fanatastically inept, so I am ready for anything.....

You will need to state what requirements you have to obtain a specific answer: will you be calling overseas, if so where, how often, what speed internet do you require etc.
Shaw do a bundle for full cable, digital phone and 5mb broadband the price of which can be found here http://www.shaw.ca/en-ca/ProductsSer...lesPricing.htm which may or may not suit you - there really is no "catch all" answer - you will have to tailor your packages to meet your requirements

Three saturday prem games are on Rogers Sportsnet
Champions League is on TSN
Additional Prem and CL games on the digital subscription chanel Fox Sportsworld Canada.
If you have broadband then nearly all games are available through live streaming at http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/

Do you know if I can get Rogers Sportsnet and TSN on basic cable (with Shaw?!), or do you need something super-duper extra?

Check the local providers websites, they will list whats in the various packages.
Dont forget satellite (Bell and Starchoice) is an option too, you dont have to limit yourself to cable.
