Hello,

I have a UK property which is rented and I am moving to Canada permanently. Do I have to pay the Tax in UK or Canada or both.

You need to apply to HMRC to be rent exempt as a landlord before you leave. Doesn't mean you won't pay any tax - just depends on how much rent you receive after costs/mortgage etc and whether this exceeds your annual tax allowance. You'll need to report this in your HMRC tax return each year so that they can judge this.

In Canada, you are taxed on worldwide income and this includes rent money you earn after costs/mortgage etc. Even if you leave it in a bank account in the UK you need to report this "profit" you make each year. Again, you need to report this in your Canadian tax return so they can judge how much tax should be deducted but it will be at your total income tax rate (I think).
